How do microbubbles work?
The Thera-Clean microbubble system uses tap water and room air to make tiny bubbles by the billion,(yes billion with a B!). The oxygen inside each bubble carries a negative ionic charge. Organic debris that can clog your dog’s hair follicles, (debris such as bacteria, yeast, mites, dead skin cells, and allergens) carries a positive charge. The bubbles are tiny enough to enter the follicles and bind with the positively charged organic matter. From there, the oxygen bubble seeks the surface of the water pulling the organic debris along with it, out of the follicle away from the skin and up until the bubble bursts and the organic debris is left floating on the surface of the water.

The 3-2-1 Countdown to Calm Skin package is a series of six baths. Three in the first week, two in the second, and one in the third week. This is because canine skin cells live, die, and slough off in about 3 weeks time. If we can keep the skin and follicles cleansed free of irritants and triggers long enough for damaged skin cells to be replaced and replenished, we are allowing the dog to heal itself.
Microbubble baths complement, they do not replace, veterinary care. It is important to protect your dog from known triggers and allergens during the series of baths by changing your dog’s bedding and dressing your dog in a t-shirt or pajamas. Occasionally, skin flares up and appears to worsen after the first or second bath, before it begins to improve. This is part of the healing process. The bath itself is tap water and room air, supported by plant based enzymes, formulated by a veterinarian.
Thera-Clean microbubble system is an FDA registered device. Information to share with your vet is here.
